My boss and I have been discussing the company’s web site a couple of days ago. He was asking everyone their feedback on our newly designed web 2.0 company site. It was impressive actually. My boss got the idea of re-designing our company website because of the recent Website Business Optimization Services that his business partner had gotten.

Our company website is now a more chic and modern version of the one we previously had. My boss is really proud of it. And I must say that he should. He was hands on in designing it. He and the IT team had put a lot of time and effort in the new web site that they all call it their “baby”. Each of the department heads were asked to write a brief summary of their respective departments. Being from the Finance, I made it a point to make mine short and sweet. The common misconception on Finance people is that we are boring. We are not boring. We are just more serious than other employees because we handle finances.

Okay so that’s the story behind the Work 2.0 that I’ve been twittering about.

Our office is undergoing a much needed renovation and general maintenance right now. That is why we come in at work wearing casual clothes. The place is triple dusty and dirty but it is okay as long as our workplace will turn out better than the previous one. I heard the two bosses talking about a conditional lien release the other day. I also heard them talking about mid-year and performance bonuses that got me really excited!

I really love the company I am working for right now. The bosses are fair to us employees. I’ve been with them for five years now. Over the course of that period, the company underwent two major financial troubles. But that didn’t stop them from giving us our pay checks on time. And since the company has been really fair to its employees, we worked hard to help the company overcome those financial woes. We’ve worked double time most of us not charging the additional hours just to triple our sales. And we were successful. Since the sales doubled last year, the workplace is being renovated for the employees’ additional comfort.

If only all companies are this fair…
